We carry the full line of mica powder from Sepp Leaf Products.
These powders are among the best we've found for working in the kiln.
Micas can be combined with virtually any medium
and applied as a paint or glaze. They can be sandwiched between
two layers of glass, and can be applied by sifting, painting, or air
brushing.
Mica colors can also be intermixed with other
colors. The density of the color depends on the the amount of
powder used, and the color can change based on background color or depth
in the glass (mica on top will look different than sandwiched mica).
These micas are environmentally safe,
non-toxic, and non-tarnishing. They can withstand firing
temperatures up to 1650F/900C, and are suitable for interior and
exterior use.
All 24 shades of mica are available in two
sizes, 25 grams (.88 ounce) and 100 grams (3.5 ounces).
Price is dependent on the particular shade and size selected.
A note about sizes: The 25 gram container of
mica is the same one we use to send out 2 ounces of glass frit (about 1
1/4" high, two inches in diameter). The 100 gram container is
approximately 4 inches high and two inches in diameter.

chart ONLY as a general guideline: Please be aware that micas are
notoriously difficult to photograph and the colors can change
dramatically depending on background, lighting, and application surface.
Note that the chart is a large pdf file and may take
some time on open on slower connections. You will need Adobe
Reader to view the chart.
